The Malayalam actor who was seen in a few Bollywood films also turns 31 today, October 16
Born on October 16, 1982, Prithviraj celebrates his 31st birthday today. The actor has spent over a decade in cinema and continues to excel with his superb acting talent and his desire to experiment and push the limits for himself.
Attracted by the stage and the arc lights even during his school and college days, Prithviraj was only too happy to accept Malayalam director Renjith’s offer to act in Nandanam in 2002. His other early films were Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari and Stop Violence in which he established his acting credentials.
Prithviraj went on to do films like Vargam and Vaasthavam, winning the Kerala State Award for Best Actor for the latter. It also made him the youngest actor to bag the honour. Prithviraj continued to choose the right films in the years that followed, doing Thalappavu, Thirakkatha and Puthiya Mukham. All these films reaffirmed Prithviraj’s immense talent and screen presence and he went on to act in Pokkiri Raja and Indian Rupee which also earned huge critical acclaim.
Prithviraj’s major release last year was Ayalum Njanum Thammil and this year he played JC Daniels in Celluloid and also starred in Mumbai Police and Memories.
The actor made his Bollywood foray last year in Aiyyaa and Aurangzeb. He is also quite a rage in Kollywood with films like Mozhi to his credit. Prithvi is currently working on Kaaviya Thalaivan with Siddharth.
A skilled playback singer and producer, Prithviraj has his hands full and keeps his fans pleased with his prolific work.
