As a mark of respect to the legendary director; a heartbroken Priyanka Chopra cancels her song celebration at a Mumbai mall
It would be no understatement to say that Bollywood has suffered a huge loss as one of its living legends Yash Chopra passed away suddenly on Sunday evening.
Actor Priyanka Chopra, who has worked previously in Pyaar Impossible opposite the filmmaker’s son Uday Chopra under the illustrious banner, cancelled an event today where she was slated to perform.
The actor was supposed to celebrate her recently released single In my city at Infiniti mall in Mumbai, but she cancelled the performance and tweeted, “Will NOT be coming to celebrate My Music Single @ Infiniti Mall, Malad (W) today at 3.00 pm !My apologies but celebrations are not in order.” The actor had earlier tweeted, “Ab Mohabbat ka Bhi dil toot Gaya… RIP Yashji.. Thank u for always being so kind to me..thank u for showing us what love should be..”
Priyanka will also be seen in an upcoming Yash Raj film titled Gunday opposite Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The actor also tweeted, “Ab Mohabbat ka Bhi dil toot Gaya… RIP Yashji..Thank u for always being so kind to me..thank u for showing us what love should be.”
The legendary filmmaker’s body was kept at the Yash Raj Studios as a stream of celebrities and industry professionals have been making a beeline to pay their last respects to the departed filmmaker. His last rites are set to take place at Pawan Hans, Juhu in a few hours.
