The Agneepath actor has signed up with an international agent to promote and pitch for work in Hollywood
While we have been wondering why Priyanka Chopra is doing cliched and trivial roles in so many films, it turns out that she has been concentrating on looking for work on foreign shores. We found out that the Agneepath actor has signed up with Creative Artists Agency, a prominent entertainment and sports firm based in Los Angeles, to get work in Hollywood. These are the same people who manage biggies like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Will Smith and Reese Witherspoon. Thank god that instead of being tightlipped or denying the development, like so many others, PC was forthcoming when asked about it. In an interview she said, “Yes, I have a completely new team working for me in Los Angeles. Let’s see how things go.”
This isn’t PC’s first step towards an international career though. For a while now she has been working with the global music label Universal to kick off her singing career. Apparently CAA, who is very fastidious about clients, was impressed that the B-town diva had managed to grab a music contract with Universal. It made their decision to sign up their first Bollywood artist easy. All that is good, but we have one piece of advice for our PC: She better make sure she doesn’t land teeny weeny roles like her seniors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in The Pink Panther and Anil Kapoor in Mission Impossible 4. It’s time Bollywood artists got better positioning in Hollywood, don’t you think?
