After Don and Agneepath, now Priyanka Chopra might bag another Amitabh Bachchan film

According to the buzz, Priyanka Chopra has been offered the role of the street smart girl played by Jaya Bachchan in Zanjeer (1973), a movie that catapulted Amitabh Bachchan to stardom. This remake will be set against the backdrop of oil mafia though and will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is co-produced by Amit Mehra (Prakash Mehra’s son) and Reliance Entertainment.

What caught our attention though was that Piggy Chops is being offered a whooping Rs 11 crore for this role! With Kareena Kapoor charging Rs 8 crore and Katrina Kaif, demanding Rs 2.5 crore, wethinks Piggy Chops has made it clear that she doesn’t want to be left behind either. What’s more, the billi of B-town will play an NRI café owner with oodles of spunk. The movie is slated to go on floors by April 13, 2012 and we hear that Priyanka is keen on doing this role. But hold on, despite the excitement and huge money involved Priyanka has refrained from saying an official ‘yes’. We wonder what’s stopping the girl!
