The Hongey Judaa Na Hum actor says that taking over the role of Asad from Karan Singh Grover is a good way to end 2013
Plenty has been said and speculated about the end of Karan Singh Grover’s road in Qubool Hai. He has been accused of everything from unprofessional behaviour to a lack of interest in his work on the show, for which he is seriously considering issuing a legal notice against the producers and the channel. But that apart, Qubool Hai will now have a new Asad – the role KSG played – in Raqesh Vashisth, who debuted on TV with the channel’s Saat Phere and is now dancing with wife Riddhi Dogra on the reality show Nach Baliye 6.
Raqesh calls it a kind of ‘homecoming’, assuring KSG fans that he has the Dil Mill Gaye star’s stamp of approval. “Karan has already wished me luck,” he said in an interview. According to Karan, he is the one who suggested to the makers of the serial that Raqesh would be a good replacement, since he himself had some medical issues to deal with, apart from his planned career moves.
The producers believe that Raqesh is a good fit. According to a statement, “Raqesh is handsome, good-looking and he looks amazing with Zoya. The best and most important part is that he is known in the industry for his professionalism. We’re glad that he has agreed to come on board.” The new Asad will be seen in Qubool Hai in early Januray 2014.
