Queen box office collection: Kangana Ranaut starrer has got an unimpressive start!

The Vikas Bahl directorial have started on a low key at the box office

Kangana Ranaut might have garnered rave reviews from the critics for her performance in Queen, which hit the theatres this Friday (March 7), but despite that, the film has failed to get the cash registers ringing on the first day of it’s release.

However, Queen has managed to do slightly better when compared to the other two releases – Gulaab Gang, starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, and Total Siyapaa, which stars Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam.

And the reason behind such a poor performances of these films is the Hollywood big release 300: Rise Of An Empire that holds dominance at the BO. And then there is the exam fever, that has gripped the nation, due to which students and youth have stayed away from the theatres.

Well, we just hope that Queen experiences a rise in the box office collections. After all such a brilliant film surely deserves that, hai na?Subscribe to me on YouTube

Bollywood has spoiled audience’s taste by offering them bad movies with lots of noise and glamour one after other. The latest being dumbO dhoom3. Katrina is bad for bollywood. I am not being mean to katrina but…I mean it what I say.

    • Lily

Please why are u blaming Katrina? Is she d audience that didn’t go out to watch film. You have been giving reasons why d film started on a slow note. Pls let us be objective.

  • Sangam

Put one Kamali song & dance by katrina and audience will pay 500cr to watch the song.

I cant even express in words how wonderful and absolutely enchanting Kangana is in Queen. It’s a shame that movies that don’t have any underlying message to convey turn out to be box office hits whereas movies like Queen which have something to say get lukewarm responses from the audience. If movies earned what they deserved, Queen would be one of the highest grossing movies of all time in Bollywood.

What a crap film. Gonna stay this way in box office

time and again indian audience has prove themselves of being 3rd rate movie lovers…….

Agree that this is an outstanding movie. However, I am not sure if the marketing folks did a good job of it – I personally heard about the movie only when it got reviewed in the paper late last week. Probably the marketing folks ought to take some part of the blame for the not-so-great show at the box office. Do hope that the film gets what it deserves : At least the proverbial 100 crore collection !
