Zee TV’s popular show is in troubled waters as its lead actor resigns

The love story of Daljeet (Kanan Malhotra), Saahiba (Ekta Kaul) and Ranveer (Ashish Sharma) in Rab Se Sohna Isshq will be very weird or should we say incomplete if the lead quits the show. Of course they can replace the actor, but will it be the same – we doubt it!

According to sources from the sets, Ekta Kaul has put in her papers and is serving her six-month notice period which ends in April. Most actors leave a show when they get a more lucrative offer or ‘coz they have an open argument with the producers. But Ekta’s reasons are much bigger that what meets the eye. The actor was not happy with the show as she was being harassed on the sets. Constant problems from the production house also didn’t make things any easier for the newbie.

Rumours also suggest that Ekta often had arguments with producer Kinnari Mehta over issues big and small. While we would have liked more clarifications from the horse’s mouth,but it was not possible ‘coz Ekta is tight lipped about the whole episode.

Ekta has been doing very well in terms of performance and the show has been garnering a rating of 2.7, which is very commendable given that there is so much competition around. The makers however haven’t taken a call on replacing the actor or taking a break yet, so we assume they are going to try and resolve this issue one last time.

Well, we hope they do, ‘coz it would be a huge loss to let go of the actor, no?
