Raees box office collection day 2: Shah Rukh Khan’s film sees a bumper growth, earns Rs. 46.72 crore

Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees was supposed to earn heavily on Day 2 as it was a holiday. Republic Day meant more money in the pocket and that’s exactly what happened with the film. In just two days, the film has already earned Rs. 46.72 crore. While Wednesday saw the film earn Rs. 20.42 crore, yesterday the film saw a bumper growth by earning a whopping Rs. 26. 30 crore. These are incredible numbers. Taran Adarsh, Trade Analyst, shared the numbers saying, “#Raees is PHENOMENAL on Day 2. All set to pack a FAB total in its 5-day weekend. Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr. Total: ₹ 46.72 cr. India biz.” (Also read: Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees beats Akshay Kumar’s Airlift and Salman Khan’s Jai Ho to become the highest opener for a Republic day weekend)

We told you what Trade felt about January 26 being a huge day for both Raees and Kaabil. Amul Vikas Mohan, Editor, Super Cinema had told us, “Jan 25 is a non-holiday. As the following day is a holiday, a lot of people will be coming out. That’s a great situation for it to have. Opening might not be that thunderous because I feel Jan 26th will be the biggest day for both the films.” He had also predicted the numbers saying, “Number-wise, on a non-holiday day, the highest total will be at around Rs. 25 crore. Next day (Jan 26), both the films could make Rs. 20 crore each, and I am being conservative with numbers here. It could be on the higher side also.” Clearly, Raees has exceeded expectations and it will continue to make more money.

We are pretty sure this will make Shah Rukh Khan really impressed. By tomorrow, the film will easily cross the Rs. 50 crore mark which will be massive. Friday might see a drop in collection since it’s a non-holiday again but Saturday and Sunday will only amp up the numbers. So have you watched the film already?
