Singers: Meet Brothers Anjjan , Kanika Kapoor , Kshitij Tarey , Mustafa Zahid , Yo Yo Honey Singh and Arpita Chakraborty

Ekta Kapoor’s next production venture Ragini MMS 2 starring Sunny Leone in the lead will hit the theatres this month. While you don’t expect a horror film to be high on music, the makers of this film seems to think otherwise. Maybe that’s the reason why the Balaji head honcho roped in not one but four music composers for the sequel of Ragini MMS. So let’s check out the music of this Sunny starrer and see what’s in store for us…

First up is Meet Brothers Anjjan and Kanika Kapoor’s urban Punjabi item number Baby doll. This foot-tapping number will get you hooked from the word go. While Meet Brothers Anjjan have done a fine job with the music wethinks this track totally belongs to Kanika. Her dumdaar voice takes this peppy number to another level. And though the video featuring the very hot Sunny Leone is interesting, you would like the song even if you gave it a miss. There is a remix version of Baby doll as well but the original one is way better.

Next on the list is Chaar bottle vodka sung by none other than Yo Yo Honey Singh. The talented rapper has composed and sung this track which again features the leading lady of Ragini MMS 2. Though this a club number, Singh hasn’t stuck to the conventional thumping music. The Lungi dance singer has kept the background score pulsating which is why it’s addictive. Another reason why Chaar bottle vodka stands out is coz of the quirky lyrics. If it’s a Honey Singh number you do expect it be hatke, hai na? Also, the video syncs with the song perfectly with Sunny grooving seductively and Yo Yo Honey Singh showing off his cool moves on this hip hop ditty.

Then we have Mustafa Zahid crooning Maine khud ko which is a sad romantic number. While Mustafa’s beautiful voice is a treat to the ears, this song is a bit too long and ultimately gets boring. And that’s the only reason why you may not listen to this gloomy track till the end. Music by Pranay Rijia sounds a bit familiar and is just about okay. Frankly speaking, you wouldn’t lose out on something great f if you avoid this one. However, the reprise version by Kshitij Tarey is indeed better. It starts off beautifully with guitar in the background and then Kshitij takes over with his melodious voice.

Lastly, there is Arpita Chakraborty singing Lori of death. It looks like the makers wanted to incorporate a spooky song but they have failed miserably. This lullaby fails to create any impact and is in fact funny. The music of this number will surely remind you of the hit horror show from the ‘90s – Aahat and few others. After hearing Baby doll and Chaar bottle vodka, Lori of Death is a big disappointment. We absolutely recommend you to miss this one.

Our Verdict: Yo Yo Honey Singh takes away the cake with his catchy number Chaar bottle vodka.

Our pick: Chaar bottle vodka and Baby doll!
