Rajeev Khandelwal to make a comeback on TV as a detective?

Rajeev Khandelwal was once one of the most popular faces on Television. With hit shows like Hum Ne Le Li Hai…Shapath, Left Right Left and Kahiin Toh Hoga, the actor was a sensation on the small screen and certainly was missed when he decided to enter the big bad world of Bollywood. Good news in the house folks, as the Aamir actor is set to make a comeback soon!

If rumours are to be believed, the actor will be essaying the role of a detective where his character is said to be inspired by fictional detective in Bengali literature, Byomkesh Bakshi.

A source while talking to a popular daily revealed, “Rajeev’s TV stint made him famous, but he decided to move to the big screen later on. Now the actor is all set to make a comeback; he will playing a detective in this show.” It’s a twenty six episode detective series and Rajeev’s character will be along the lines of Byomkesh Bakshi. The show is being produced by Freemantle India and it will be aired on Star.”

Rajeev Khandelwal when contacted about the same said to the daily, “Anupama from Freemantle India did Sach ka Saamna with me and I would love to work with her whenever there’s something exciting. But sadly I am not doing anything with her as of now.”

Reports further suggest that Madhubala star Drashti Dhami has been asked to play the parallel lead role but nothing has been finalized as yet.
