Rajesh Khanna cremated: Akshay Kumar and son Aarav lit pyre

The legend’s nine-year-old grandson Aarav said the final goodbye to him along with sons-in-law Akshay Kumar and Sameer Saran

Aarav, son of Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, lit Rajesh Khanna‘s pyre on Thursday, July 19 at the Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai. “Aarav lit the pyre and Akshay Kumar (Rajesh Khanna’s son-in-law) assisted him,” the late superstar’s close friend Vijay Zaveri said. The actor’s other son-in-law, Sameer Saran, was also present.Thousands of the superstar’s fans gathered to pay tribute to Rajesh Khanna. Celebrities like Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji were also there. Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan visited the late actor’s home last evening.

Khanna’s final journey started around 10am from his residence Aashirwad in Bandra. His body was placed in a transparent casket. The actor’s wife Dimple Kapadia, his younger daughter Rinke and sons-in-law Sameer Sharan and Akshay were present. Twinkle Khanna is pregnant with her second child, and so was advised to skip the funeral.

Rajesh Khanna passed away on July 18 following a liver infection.

WHYYYYY? WHY does he have to leave NOW? He still need to get his due, to be the Super star Again… to be his waxed statue world wide, to see him in big budget movies again… He cant leave now..

I was in 10th grade when for the first time i along with my friend went from lahore to kabul to watch Rajesh Khanna super duper movies of that era . i ll miss him. May ALLAH rest his soul in eternal peace and tranquility. Izaz

I will never forget how much love and affection Rajesh Khanna brought since Aaradhana here in Malaysia.Many of you may not know that aradhana ran for more than 100 days in Rangoon (Yangon), Burma (Myanmar).His movie ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ ran for a whopping 25 weeks (175 days) a record in Malaysian cinema industry only to be matched by his wife’s first movie ‘Bobby’ that ran for 121 days.He was not just a romantic hero but evoked a great affection by his ever smiling roles.May his soul rest in peace.

I dont know but somehow a feeling has come that dimple kapadia remained with kaka in his last days ,knowing that he will not survive for more days. was there any reason for this ?
