Superstar Rajesh Khanna was cremated in Mumbai today
Millions of fans caused a near stampede in Mumbai’s famous Bandra suburb the morning of July 18, as Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna was being carried in a casket to a crematorium. The actor’s family members were present, including wife Dimple Kapadia, daughter Rinke Khanna, sons-in-law Akshay Kumar and Sameer Saran and grandson Aarav. His daughter Twinkle Khanna was not present as she had been advised rest due to her pregnancy.
Another Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan, who credits a part of his success to Khanna – having starred with him in the much-acclaimed Anand – walked along with Khanna’s family and friends for the last rites. Son Abhishek Bachchan accompanied him. Directors Karan Johar and Sajid Khan were also present, along with some politico friends and colleagues of Khanna including Raj Babbar. i was shoked 2 hear abut my favourite actor no more it pain ful 2 c rajesh khannas death as i grew up wt only his movies back then may GOD keep him in heaven ul always rule the hearts when it comes to romantic movies RIP
