The handsome hunk turns 29 today
Born on March 27, 1985, Ram Charan Teja is known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema. Son of Southern megastar Chiranjeevi, Charan made his film debut as the leading man in the film Chirutha, which collected Rs 30 crore in 50 days and was declared as a blockbuster worldwide. His performance in the film earned him a Filmfare Best South Debutant Award and Nandi Special Jury Award.
After the release of the 2009 blockbuster Magadheera, which was only his second film, Charan established himself as one of the leading contemporary actors of Tollywood. And there was no looking back for him ever since then. Recently he also made his Bollywood debut through Zanjeer, a remake of the 1973 film of the same name that starred Amitabh Bachchan. The film featured Priyanka Chopra opposite him. Though the film released amid high expectations, unfortunately it opened to negative critical reception as Ram Charan’s performance was not appreciated by the critics. And he learnt that people in Bollywood are far different from the peeps in Tollywood.
Apart from being an actor, Ram also owns a Polo team with the name of Ram Charan Hyderabad Polo Riding Club.
He is also said to have a keen interest in cosmetic surgeries. Yes, you read that right! Apparently Charan’s looks in the film, Magadheera were a combination of hard work and cosmetic surgery. His relative, Allu Arjun, had even gone on record crediting his looks to the handiwork of the surgeon. But looks like the job went terribly wrong as he was featured in IBNs top 10 plastic surgery disasters. On the other hand, he ranked fifth in the survey conducted by Star India for the top sexiest actors.
