The who’s who of Indian television attended the glittering awards ceremony on Sunday

The Indian Television Academy Awards 2011, held on September 25, threw up quite a few surprises. Arhaan Behl (Mann Ki Awaaz Pratighya) and Jia Manek (Sathiya Saath Nibhana) won the acting awards in the popular category while Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar (Bade Achche Lagte Hain) were the jury’s choice for best actor and actress. Then there were a few expected winners – Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Anchor of a Game/Quiz Show award for Kaun Banega Crorepati? 5, Rushiraj Pawar (Chandragupta Maurya) was adjudged Best Child Artiste and Pavitra Rishta won the GR8! Laurel for Ensemble Acting award.
