We hear Basu will be reshooting some portions of his upcoming detective film Jagga Jasoos once again with his lead actor. Looks like Ranbir hasn’t given his best shot…
After Barfi! Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor have teamed up once for Jagga Jasoos which also stars Katrina Kaif in the lead. Though the first shooting schedule of this detective film has been wrapped up, Basu isn’t happy with few scenes it seems. Apparently, the talented filmmaker thinks that the Kapoor lad can deliver much better and hence has decided to reshoot few portions of JJ. While talking to a leading daily, a source said, “Around 20 days of shooting has been completed with Ranbir and Katrina. But Anurag feels that he can do better and will be reshooting some portions.” Maybe Ranbir couldn’t nail his scenes coz the Rockstar actor was simultaneously shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet as well. Also, Jr Kapoor has been dealing with lot of relationship problems remember? That too could have hampered his work, no?
With Barfi! turning out to be a blockbuster, we are sure the Jagga Jasoos director wants to make sure that his second outing with Ranbir is equally entertaining and flawless of course. Though, wethinks redoing some portions again could affect the second leg of the shooting. However, Anurag has a plan in place for that as well. “Anurag will accommodate the changes in the second schedule without extending it. He knows that after Barfi!, expectations from him and Ranbir have increased and he is determined to make an even better film without any creative compromises,” added the source.
But the producers of the film have rubbished rumours about the whole reshooting episode. Rucha Pathak, Senior Creative Director of Disney UTV said to the daily, “Completely baseless. We are extremely happy with the way the shoot has gone so far, so the question of a reshoot does not arise.”
We don’t know if there is some sort of miscommunication or misunderstanding between Anurag Basu and producers of Jagga Jasoos. But whatever it is, not good for the film, hai na?
