Ranveer Singh’s Befikre beats the first week collections of Kapoor & Sons and Udta Punjab

Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor‘s Befikre released last week and since then it has achieved quite a few remarkable feats. The movie has already earned Rs 48.75 crore in 7 days. And while this is not a huge number, it is quite decent considering its limited release at the domestic box office. In fact, Befikre has achieved yet another feat in its first week. The movie has beaten the first week collections of Shahid Kapoor‘s Udta Punjab and Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt’s Kapoor & Sons. We can compare these three films coz they released in equal number of screens.

While Udta Punjab has earned Rs 48.50 crore and Kapoor & Sons had collected Rs 46.93 crore, Befikre has earned Rs 48.75 crore in the first week. With this, Befikre has beaten the first week collections of both the films. However, will it be able to cross their lifetime collections? At the box office, Befikre has also beaten the lifetime collections of Amitabh Bachchan’s Wazir and Priyanka Chopra‘s Jai Gangaajal. It has also become Vaani Kapoor’s highest grosser now. Apart from these achievements, Befikre has already made a profit of Rs 50 crore (considering the worldwide collections and revenue generated after selling the various rights).
