The Band Baaja Baaraat actor Ranveer Singh honoured with a youth icon award in Dubai

Ranveer Singh, the firebrand actor who proved his mettle in his debut Band Baaja Baaraat has some really promising prospects ahead of him.

The actor was chosen above his contemporaries like Shahid Kapoor and Imran Khan as he was bestowed the Power Brands Hall of Fame youth icon award in Dubai. This adds another feather in the lads cap. Not that he needs any as he already has a handful of best debutant awards that he won last year!

Ranveer, who is talked about for his personal life as much as his acting skills, with high profile link-ups to Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha, has a slew of interesting films coming up – the first being Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap’s Lootera that releases in March 2013. Ranveer also gears up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela opposite Deepika Padukone and YRF’s Gunday with Arjun Kapoor. Way to go Ranveer, you’re turning pro already!
