After having worked in a musical like Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, the Lootera actor is all set to host a music award show
Ranveer Singh is all set to host India’s very own Grammy, the 4th edition of the Gionee Star Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA). Looks like the Ram-Leela actor is ready to take on his competition Ranbir Kapoor as a host too. Ranbir along with his Barfi! co-star Priyanka Chopra will be hosting the coveted 59th Filmfare awards this year, so could Ranveer be far behind. However like Ranbir, this is the second time that Mr Singh takes to the GIMA stage as the host. He had earlier hosted the second edition of this award, which proved quite a hit among the audiences enthralling with an opening rap. The Gunday actor is thrilled to be back on the GIMA stage. In a press statement, the actor said, “It is a huge honour to be invited back to host an awards ceremony of this caliber celebrating Indian music. The last time around was thrilling as I got to interact with the best musicians and singers this country has on offer. The Gionee Star GIMA is such a great platform and I am happy to celebrate an integral part of the Indian culture with the biggest names in music today.”
This grand musical extravaganza will take place on January 20, 2014, and will be held at the newly inaugurated National Sports Club of India (NSCI) Stadium in Mumbai.
