And John Abraham could be the star of the show this time around…
Remo D’Souza is fast becoming the hottest director in B-town. After the unexpected success of F.A.L.T.U. and the enthusiastic response to ABCD – Anybody Can Dance, Remo seems to be riding a high wave to the big time. And it seems as if his work as a choreographer for so many films is helping him make friends and influence people.
We just heard that he will be teaming up with Karan Johar to make a film – directed by Remo and produced by Dharma Productions, the dashing duo is looking to rope John Abraham into this one. The actor – who recently produced and starred in Madras Café – is in talks with KJo and Remo, we hear, and while he is interested, he is going slow on giving them his go-ahead.
But Remo and John – an odd combination, hai na? After all, Remo is the mai-baap of dance, while John looks odd shaking his booty, even though it is a very nice one, as we all saw in Dostana, remember! And a Remo D’Souza film without dance is like Shahrukh Khan without his dimples, Ranbir Kapoor without his Katrina Kaif or Salman Khan with his shirt on…kinda off-track, not quite right, no? But Remo is reassuring and insists that he can make an action film. Which would be perfect for John, wethinks, since fast-paced action will leave him with no time to think of acting – and that should work really well…wink, wink.
Now we wait to find out whether the nayi naveli jodi of Karan and Remo worked out the deal as they judged Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, or whether they did it after their kaam-dhanda on the dance reality show was done for the season. Anybody knows that story?
