Here’s a sneak peak at YRF’s latest find

When Rani Mukerji launched the trailer of her upcoming film Mardaani, we all were intrigued by the anti-hero in the film. However, nothing about his identity was disclosed by Yash Raj Films but we have something that will give all your curiosity a rest.

Tahir Raj Bhasin, a Delhi boy, started his career as a news journalist and moved ahead to start modelling full time. He has done bit and piece roles in some movies like Kismet Love Paisa Dilla and One By Two before being selected by YRF for Mardaani. He was seen in many TV ads as well. When we saw the trailer of the film, his brooding looks and unconventional screen presence made us stand up and say wow. We wonder as to how did he get this big break.

Apparently, he was spotted by YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma when she was visiting stylist Niharika Bhasin’s house. She spotted Tahir and asked him to send over his pictures and come to YRF studios for an audition. “Even though his pictures didn’t impress me, I felt there was something in him. Since then I auditioned him numerous times for different roles and soon realised that he had a spark. For Mardaani we wanted a villain who looked real, not larger than life. And Tahir fitted in, so I auditioned him with over hundred other talents but he stood out in his brilliance in the screen tests. Looking at the trailer, he has done a fantastic job in the film and is sure to be applauded by all. I am convinced he is here to stay” informs Shanoo while speaking to a leading daily.

Now with so much buzz around his unconventional negative performance we are pretty sure it won’t take long for him to make a mark in the film industry. Hai na peeps?
