Revealed: Why Priyanka Chopra decided to sing a song in Mary Kom?

Apart from playing a boxer for the first time onscreen, PC is also making her singing debut in Bollywood with Mary Kom. And at a recent event she revealed why she turned singer for her much-awaited film….

Priyanka Chopra, Omung Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali came together last night to celebrate Indian boxing champion MC Mary Kom’s never-say-die spirit and their film’s music as well. The event kicked off with Ms Chopra singing her first Bollywood song, Chaoro which features in her upcoming film, Mary Kom. While the dusky beauty impressed everyone with her vocal skills, she also revealed why she decided to lend her voice in the first place. PC said, “I have sung a song in the film because its about Mary Kom and in real life she loves music and singing.” Now this is what you call getting into the skin of the character, hai na?

After making this candid confession, Priyanka asked Mary Kom to sing a song and we have to admit the Manipuri boxer can do a lot more than just pack a punch!
