Riteish, who has garnered a lot of praises for his role in Ek Villain is the new male lead in Bank-Chor
Riteish Deshmukh was recently announced as the new male lead of Y-Films’ Bank-Chor. The film is scheduled to go on the floors immediately and is planned for an early 2015 release.
Confirming this development, Riteish says, “Loved the script. Loved the character. Loved the team. I’ve always liked to push the envelope with the choices I make. This film allows me to potentially rip it apart. Watch out there’s a new Bank-Chor in town.”
Speaking on the same, Ashish Patil, Business & Creative Head, Youth Films, Brand Partnerships & Talent Management at Yash Raj Films says, “Riteish is one of the most exciting actors of today. From villainy to action in his upcoming Lai Bhaari, there’s nothing he can’t do! And with Bank-Chor, Riteish is in a zone that’s a serious strength – comedy! He adds the scale, madness and weight that this project deserves. The audiences are in for one helluva ride now.”
As many of you might already know, before Riteish, it was Kapil Sharma who was to play the main lead in the film. But later the Comedy Nights with Kapil host decided to opt out of the project.
Well, now that Riteish has been roped in the film, do you think he is a perfect replacement for Kapil? Tell us BollywoodLifers!
