Yes, you heard that right. RD’s first Marathi film Lai Bhaari is off to a flying start and is giving a tough competition to KJo’s romantic comedy
Riteish Deshmukh must be on cloud nine. After all, he has delivered two hits so far this year – Humshakals and Ek Villain. And if that wasn’t enough, his Marathi debut Lai Bhaari has now got cash registers ringing. Nishikant Kamat’s directorial venture starring Deshmukh in the lead has hit the theatres today and we hear the masaledaar action flick has stormed the Indian box office. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter, “It’s a #LaiBhaari wave across Maharashtra. The shows are packed to capacity and the start is HUMONGOUS at every centre. SUPERB.” Apparently, the box office collection of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania suffered a bit in Maharashtra coz of Riteish Deshmukh’s Lai Bhaari. Well, in that case its an impressive start, hai na?
Riteish’s last film Ek Villain has already entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club and we won’t be surprised Lai Bhaari soon joins the same club.
