A few days ago we gave you the news that Irrfan Khan‘s Hindi Medium will have a sequel and it will go on the floors in August without the leading lady, Saba Qamar. Moreover, according to the reports, the story will move forward where we will see Irrfan aka Raj Batra’s daughter Pia, grown up in her teens, around 15-16 years of age. Rumours are rife that Sara Ali Khan, who will be making her debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, will be playing teenager Pia’s character in the movie’s sequel.
A source told a leading daily, “Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter.” On the other hand, when Dinesh was contacted for the confirmation, he said, “I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now.” We are really eager to know whether Sara will play the character or not. As Hindi Medium garnered good response from the audience and Irrfan also bagged the Best Actor Award at the Filmfare Awards this year, a lot more is expected from the sequel. Moreover, viewers will be eager to see Irrfan and Sara’s father-daughter chemistry on the silver screen.
