Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs winner Azmat Hussain talks about his dreams

Ten-year-old Azmat Hussain who won Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2011 singing reality show, has already planned his future.  Sharing his dreams and future plans the tiny tot enthusiastically says, “I want to be a well-known singer, but I have to finish my studies first.”

Azmat who renders a ghazal with as ease as a fast Punjabi number, has not just won the competition but also the hearts of all with his innocence and flawless singing. He even amazed the celebrity judges on the show like Salman Khan. When asked whether he used to be fearful or scared while performing on the stage, he answers with confidence, “I was never scared singing on the stage. I used to remember my parents and my god and perform.”

The little maestro, besides singing, also plays harmonium and keyboard. Like every other kid of his age, he loves playing cricket. Talking about the judges on the show, he says, “I liked all the judges, but Alka ji and Javed Sir were my favourite. Javed Sir was my mentor and he never scolded me and taught me everything with lots of love. I got to learn a lot from him and I thank him for all his support. I want to learn a lot more.” He also recollects two of his favourite performances on the show, Saiyyan and Laagi Tumse Lagan.
