The 40-plus actor is fine but not exactly in the pink of health. During his recent surgery doctors detected a new problem for which Salman Khan will have to undergo treatment and another operation later on
Finally Salman Khan’s fans can heave a sigh of relief – the superstar’s surgery for trigeminal neuralgia went off well. But no, he is not yet ready for a regular routine, though he has started working out, cautiously. Currently the Bodyguard actor is resting. After spending a week or two in the United States, he will leave for a short break in London and then on to Dublin, to shoot for Yash Raj film’s Ek Tha Tiger with his ex-lady love Katrina Kaif. Salman may be out of hospital and giving interviews galore, but his health concerns are not exactly over. Apart from being extremely careful in his daily regime for some time, the superstar will have to undergo another surgery. In an interview given after the treatment, the 40-plus actor said, “It will take time and management. The medical thing is a little more complicated than we initially assumed. The doctors have detected an aneurysm, so I might have to be back for another procedure around January”. An aneurysm is an abnormal widening or ballooning of a portion of an artery due to weakness in the wall of the blood vessel. Also, despite undergoing the treatment, the seven-year-long pain has not gone away completely. The electric shock-like spasms the actor experienced will continue for a while – six months to three years – and could recur. But all this has not dampened the daredevil in Salman. He is already making big plans for his birthday (December 27) – to launch his Being Human foundation in the international market. Well we wish the actor’s health worries end soon and he is back to his entertaining self.
