The whole of India is celebrating Gokulashtami. We take a look at the B-town celebs who sported various colours that are symbolic of the festival
Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu is depicted in idols as blue or black and is dressed in hues of golden and yellow with a bright red, blue or green cloth tied across his waist. We went through the recent appearances of our B-town celebs to see who looks fit to celebrate Lord Krishna’s birth… Here’s a list!
We spotted our Dabangg dude, Salman Khan on the sets of a reality show in an all-blue avatar. Though his tee and denims were different shades of blue, don’t you think he would make a good Lord Krishna? With his playful attitude, mischievous smile (that melts our heart), the numerous gopis in his life and his recent blue appearance, we think Sallu is prepared to celebrate Janmashtami… Aditya Roy Kapur of Aashiqui 2 fame was also spotted in blue tee at a recent event. He’d make one hot Lord, no? Though he played a perfect lover boy onscreen, we’re sure this hunk has a flirtatious side too!
Amrita Rao was captured in a pink lehenga choli at a Satyagraha event. The desi girl looked like an incarnation of Radha to us… Though we didn’t really like the sequined lehenga, her pretty earrings and dazzling smile made up for it. We sure think this babe is in a festive mood! Don’t you agree? One-film old, Amyra Dastur, who starred in Issaq walked down the ramp in a lively red and purple outfit. With a tinge of gold in her outfit and a crescent-shaped bindi on her fore-head, this pretty damsel made her way to our hearts with her exquisite look. We can view festivity right in her outfit!
The other celebs who we think are in a mood to celebrate include Eesha Koppikar and Sonali Bendre. Looking at the golden headgear that Eesha is sporting and Sonali’s ravishing red outfit, we’ve no doubt that these gorgeous ladies look Janmashtami-prepared! The next who caught our sight was Urmila Matondkar in yellow. Urmila not only looks delightful in the yellow dress with a tinge of gold, but the charming lady’s infectious smile completely blends with the Janmashtami mood!
Last and certainly not the least excited, we spotted the Grand Masti boys, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi in bright colors like orange, red and yellow. Well, though they aren’t dressed in a desi attire, there’s no denying that the colors are enough to build up the festive mood! What more, the three lads also have a lot of gopis around them in their upcoming film. We bet these desi boys are in a mood to do some masti on Janmashtami!
So, BollywoodLifers, who do you think looks like they’re dressed to celebrate Janmashtami?
