The Dabangg star’s next project Radhe is likely to feature the two powerhouses of talent
Salman Khan is bored! The 47-year-old actor has been playing this overtly macho, high on testosterone lead star for quite some time now. From Ready to Wanted and Dabangg to Ek Tha Tiger, Salman has been essaying roles which have typecast him as the last action hero of Bollywood, so to say. But now Sallu is all set for an image makeover.
Our secret birdie has chirped to us that Salman is keen on making something ‘cerebral’- a far cry from his regular maar dhaad movies- for which he is trying to rope in the supremely gifted Naseeruddin Shah and Tabu. Sallu’s brother Sohail Khan will direct a new venture titled Radhe. The project will see Salman play a good Samaritan (and not a regular goonda or a bad cop with a good heart). In fact , Salman will essay the role of a military officer who sets out to change the society with his value systems and moral code in the film. Bhai wanted to add a touch of class to this project and he insisted on casting the veteran actor Naseer and the versatile Tabu in the film. The Sohail Khan directorial movie is a remake of AR Murugadoss’2006 South hit film Stalin.
Now we are keen to know if Naseer will give his nod to Sallu’s make-you-think-hard kind of project. If he says yes, then Salman will be working with Shah for the first time! We hope this refreshingly different soch of bhai materialises soon and gives us a breather from those mindless masala entertainers!
