After the super success of his first Bollywood outing, Siddique has signed his second Hindi film, which will be a commercial entertainer
Salman has always been famous for promoting and sometimes hard-selling his discoveries in Bollywood. Be it Sajid-Wajid, Himesh Reshammiya or Katrina Kaif, they owe their careers to Robinhood Pandey. We heard that the latest in the growing list of those who enjoy Sallu’s benevolence is Bodyguard director, Siddique, who has so far been churning out superhit films in Tamil. Buzz is that Siddique had won Salman’s heart even before he had completed the shooting of Bodyguard. Producer-duo Shyam Bajaj and Narendra Bajaj had been on the lookout for a promising director after burning their fingers with two duds, Aksar and Aggar. When Bodyguard was being shot, they happened to ask Salman about Siddique and he was all praise for him. Post the hysteria that Bodyguard created at the BO, every producer worth his fortune has been trying hard to get Siddique to sign on the dotted line but he kept his word as he had already committed to making a film with the Bajajs. It reminded us of that line in Salman’s Wanted “Ek baar maine commitment kar di, to phir main apne aap ki bhi nahin sunta.” (Once I have made a commitment, I don’t change my mind). After having made one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, why would anyone work with a relatively unknown producer? While we aren’t sure if Sallu will be playing the lead in Siddique’s film, we wish him all the best.
