Salman Khan will play Lord Krishna in ‘Oh My God’

The flamboyant actor will play the lead role in Akshay Kumar’s production

Based on Paresh Rawal’s Hindi play Krishna Vs Kanhaiya, Akshay Kumar’s upcoming home production Oh My God has found a lead in Salman Khan. Akki was keen to rope in either Shahrukh Khan or Salman for the role of Lord Krishna in the film and finally the Dabangg actor has given a nod in agreement to do the role. Salman is currently gearing up for his much anticipated Dabangg 2 and he will join the Khiladi Kumar once he finishes this schedule.

We also hear that since SRK is currently busy with his Yashraj film London Ishq till October, after which he will start working on Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express, it was unlikely that he would sign on to do Oh My God. Apparently SRK’s busy calendar was making Akshay Kumar jittery about getting his lead actor. In this scenario the Desi Boyz actor found a savior in dependable Salman Khan, who has now given the green light for the film. And with Salman portraying the mischievous Lord Krishna – a role he mirrors in real life, wethinks – we hope that there will be enough drama and comedy in this ‘colourful’ production to make the audience roll on the floor.
