The Munnabhai actor has been granted a two-week parole by Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail authorities for medical reasons
Sanjay Dutt can finally breathe a sigh of relief! The Munnabhai actor had sought a month’s parole in mid-August to undergo some medical treatment for certain illness that he has been suffering from. The latest we hear is that the convicted actor’s application has been approved and he will be out today.
Currently serving a 42-month sentence for his involvement in the March 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, Dutt had already left Pune for Mumbai and is expected to reach home later in the afternoon.
Dutt had surrendered before a Special TADA Court in Mumbai in May and was later shifted to Pune to serve the remainder of his jail term.
