The Agneepath actor, who recently launched his Super Fight League, feels that his dad, Sunil Dutt, could have improved the state of the country’s sports
Apart from a few exceptions of shooter Abhinav Bindra and boxer Vijendar Singh, sports stars in India are mostly limited to cricket. Interestingly, the scope of sports is increasing, and Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt are lending their star image to give impetus to sports like wrestling and kickboxing. Talking about the state of sports in our country, in a recent interview, Sanju said, “There are so many young boys, everyone should get a chance to play for their country. But in India, there is only one sport – cricket. I don’t understand why we are so obsessed with it. I really wish that my father (Sunil Dutt) was alive. I am sure he would have done something about it.” Keep up the good work Sanju baba!
