Sanjay Dutt to return to jail after the end of his three month parole today

Sanjay Dutt`s third parole ends today. The actor has been out on parole since December 21, 2013. Dutt was to return to Pune’s Yerawada Central Jail on January 21, but was granted an extension for a month which was to end on February 21. The actor later sough an extension of another month (upto March 21)  to nurse his wife Manyata, who was recovering after post surgery. Dutt’s wife has reportedly been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a suspected heart ailment.

The actor is serving the remainder of his five-year jail term at Yerawada Central Jail in Pune. Dutt was convicted by the Supreme Court for illegal possession of arms in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and was sentenced to six years of imprisonment. He had earlier served 18 months of jail and had surrendered himself before a Mumbai court on May 18, 2013 to serve the remaining period of his imprisonment.
