The actor returns to jail after his 30-day parole
Sanjay Dutt left for Pune this morning to serve his remaining jail term in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The Poliegiri actor was on a leave of furlough since October 1. Sanjay Dutt is currently serving the remaining 42-month jail term for possessing illegal firearms which were used during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Dutt surrendered before a TADA court this May and was later moved to Pune’s Yerawada jail to serve his term.
The 53-year-old actor was undergoing treatment blood clots formed in his legs. He left for Pune with wife Maanyata at around 6.30 AM . Sanjay’s wife accompanied him upto the gates of the jail.
Dutt said that there was pain in his legs and appealed his fans to wish for his early release. He also thanked the media for accepting his request to allow privacy during his parole period. The actor said, “I still have a problem in my legs but it is a bit better than before. Pray for me so that I can come out soon. Happy Diwali to all.”
