That’s the buzz doing the rounds of telly land
His last three films have bombed at the box office. His two directorial ventures – Saawariya and Guzaarish – failed and so did his production, My Friend Pinto. No wonder then that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now decided to enter television.
If rumours are to be believed, Sanjay is planning a show based on the popular novel Saraswatichandra. The novel is one of the classics of Gujarati literature and the show too will be set in a Gujarati family. It will follow two sisters as they try to make their way in the world. One of the sisters will be played by Jennifer Winget. This is the first show the actor has agreed to post her wedding. Bhansali is also in talks with Monica Bedi, Yatin Karyekar and Gautam Rode to play other important roles.
With big stars shying away from doing his films, we can only hope for Sanjay that this telly venture will push him back on the top.
