Saroj Khan teams up with Aditi Rao Hydari for a song in Marathi movie

Bollywood’s ace choreographer has roped in Aditi Rao Hydari to do a special song for Mrinal Kulkarni’s Marathi period film titled Rama Madhav

Saroj Khan who had earlier choreographed Aditi Rao Hydari in one of her southern films felt that Aditi is a perfect choice for a song in Mrinal Kulkarni’s forthcoming Marathi period drama keeping in mind her beauty and her training in classical dance.

Set in the 17th century, Rama Madhav is based on the love story of legendary warrior of Maratha empire Peshwa Madhavrao and his wife Ramabai, the film has historic, old world appeal.

“The characters, their clothes, etc are all exactly like it was in the 17th century. Given this, Aditi’s special song showcases her in a beautiful classic lehanga-choli with exquisite gold jewellery, right from the maang teeka to the round nose rings,” said a source.

“Keeping the look in mind and the fact that she needed a beautifully trained classical dancer, Sarojji immediately requested Aditi to do the song and the actress was happy to do it. Her classic beauty coupled with the fact that she’s a trained classical dancer, all the pieces just fit in beautifully,” the source added.

Saroj Khan is known for bringing out the best in some of the dancing divas of Bollywood including Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit.
