The Happy New Year actor is said to be the first Indian ambassador for the global campaign

Shah Rukh Khan is a grand name on the national and global front both. The superstar has been roped in by the International Police Corporation Interpol, to become a brand ambassador for their Turn Back Crime campaign.

SRK is said to be the first Indian to have been made an ambassador for the global campaign. The Badshah of B-town recently posted a picture on Twitter, with a tweet that read, “Don on the right side of Interpol. How ironically cool is that…ha ha.” The Happy New Year actor can be seen striking an action pose, bringing on his “Don” avatar indeed.

SRK while talking about the same in a statement to the media, said, “It’s a very special honour to be a part of Interpol’s Turn Back Crime campaign as an ambassador.”

Further talking about the need to be aware of the campaign and become a part of it, the Chennai Express fame said, “We all should believe in this maxim and in whatever way possible resolve not to let unjust people who might threaten us with criminal activity make us fear them.Because I believe we can, we should, and we must stand together against the few who commit crimes against any human being, in whatever form or guise these crimes might take.”

The campaign will also see the likes of Jackie Chan along with Formula 1 racing drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso and football sensation Lionel Messi.

Well we are certain Mr Khan will do justice to the honour he has been bestowed with. His stints from the movie Don and Don 2 will certainly come in handy for the actor now eh?
