The actor spoke about his role in Haider and stated that he felt he wasn’t good enough to play the role
The trailer of Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film Haider was every bit a blood curling affair. With a high dose of drama and intensity, Vishal Bharadwaj’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet looks promising, like his former projects.
Shahid Kapoor, who plays the protagonist, spoke about his experience on playing the character. He was seen interacting with the media at the trailer launch of the film and said, “”Every day when I was on the sets, the inherent feeling I had was that I don’t think I am good enough to play this role. That’s what I felt everyday and I used to keep running to everybody for assurance right from Vishal sir to Pankaj, our cameraman, because this is that kind of role. So one prepared to whatever degree that one can, but it did make me feel inadequate as an actor.”
He further stated that the role was a fairly difficult one to adapt and he was thankful for the support his co-stars in the film. The R…Rajkumar star was seen talking about actors Irrfan Khan and Tabu, expressing that sharing the same frame as them was an overwhelming experience for the Kapoor lad.
Well we are certain that the hottie’s hard work will pay off. Haider is set to release on October 2.
