The chocolate boy of B-town chatted with ETC Bollywood Business’ host Komal Nahta recently and revealed how his soon-to-be-released movie has turned out to be very exciting
The unquestionable ladies’ man Shahid Kapoor is back after a year’s sabbatical. His last film Teri Meri Kahaani tanked at the box office without leaving a trace and since then the good-looking boy has been out of the cinematic action. But now Sasha is back poster faadke, quite literally! The promo of his new film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is doing the rounds on the Net and even on the small screen.
The 32-year-old was visibly ecstatic on trade expert Komal Nahta’s chat show ETC Bollywood Business. Accompanied by the spirited Ileana D’cruz who will be seen opposite Shahid in the film, Sasha explained why this movie is one of a kind. “Since I have had a long gap of a year with no releases, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is a very important film for me. I am very excited since it’s a different genre of film for me. The character is very different from what I have enacted before,” said Sasha.
Barfi!-famed babe Ileana also said that she had a lot of fun while shooting for this comic venture. “The humour in Phata Poster is unique and it was challenging for me to pull it off. I am nervous and excited for this movie. I was terrified of dancing because I had to match up to Shahid’s fabulous dancing skills,” said the 25-year-old beauty.
This is director Rajkumar Santoshi’s third comic venture after rib-ticklers like Andaz Apna Apna and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Talking about the veteran director, Shahid said that he has copied Santoshi in the film. “Rajkumar Santoshi is not only a director but a fantastic actor. For me it was all about following Raj Sir, being guided by him and honestly sometimes just copying him,” said Shahid with his trademark cute smile.
We are excited to know how Sasha’s copy-cat act will work on the big screen. To know more about the movie, catch the full interview on ETC Bollywood Business at 8:30pm tonight and catch the repeat telecast at 11pm.
