The Mausam actor has had a change of heart. After single-handedly shouldering a film for years, Shahid Kapoor finally gives his nod to a two-hero project
Apparently Anjaana Anjaani director Siddharth Anand might manage a casting coup of sorts in his next film. Buzz is that the filmmaker is working on a script that will have his actor friend Ranbir Kapoor share screen space with Shahid Kapoor. And it was the actors’ good rapport with each other that instigated the filmmaker to approach them for this film. The two actors are the new good friends in B-town as they have been seen partying and hanging out together several times. It seems that Ranbir sent a message to Shahid praising Mausam and Shahid reciprocated by appreciating Ranbir in the Rockstar promo. But weren’t Ranbir and Imran Khan called the new Dostana couple at one point in time? Their project together never took off though. Anyway what we are surprised about is the fact that Shahid is keen on being a part of this two-hero project. If you notice that barring a few films during the initial phase of his career, Shahid has mostly done solo projects. Case in point: Vivah, Jab We Met, Milenge Milenge, Kaminey and Mausam. The actor has consciously stayed away from pairing up with his contemporaries. So we don’t think that his friendship with Ranbir can be the only reason for him to give green signal to this project. Is the Mausam-man feeling the heat of not being able to deliver a box-office dhamaka in a long while? The actor has accepted his BO failure is one of the main reasons why he’s reflecting on his habit of being choosy. After all, the boy hasn’t had a big hit since Jab We Met! But things could change if Mausam goes on to create magic at the BO. Guess we’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out if the two pin-up boys finally sign on the dotted line or not!
