King Khan comes out on top as India’s biggest entertainer in the inaugural Forbes India Celebrity 100 list. Wanna know who SRK actually beat besides his archrival Sallu?
They don’t call him King and Baadshah for nothing! Shahrukh Khan has once again proved that these adjectives bestowed upon him by the media and millions of his fans aren’t just for the sake of it, and he deserves all that and much more.
The business magazine Forbes’ special edition decoded the success behind some of the country’s biggest creative entrepreneurs across eight categories which consisted of film actors, directors, sport stars, TV personalities, singers-musicians, authors, models and comedians. And you know what? Salman Khan and MS Dhoni were ahead of SRK in terms of popularity and fame, but King Khan stood first courtesy his earnings, mainly riding on the massive income generated through brand endorsements.
According to Forbes India estimates, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actor earned Rs 202.8 crores compared to Salman’s Rs 144.2 crores and Dhoni’s Rs 135.16 crores between October 2011 and September 2012. Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar grab fourth, fifth and sixth position respectively, whereas Kareena Kapoor, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli and Katrina Kaif were at seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place. Hats off to you Shahrukh!
