Yash Chopra’s last movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be screened at 12th Marrakech International Film Festival in the presence of Shahrukh Khan. Bachchan will be present the same day at the event
The 12th Marrakech International Film Festival begins November 30 and will go on till December 8, 2012. It has always promoted Bollywood, but it has a special tribute to Indian cinema this time. And legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan will be President of the Indian delegation and lead it to Morocco for the event. Also, as a tribute to filmmaker Yash Chopra who passed away on October 21 this year, the festival will screen his last directorial film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ). The movie stars superstar Shahrukh Khan along with leading ladies Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. King Khan is set to grace the screening of JTHJ with his presence on December 1. Which means both SRK and Bachchan are slated to hang out on the same day at the same event.
Bachchan will, of course, be there for the opening night film screening – Karan Johar’s debut Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Johar and Jaya Bachchan will accompany Big B. KJo’s recent release Student Of The Year will also be shown at Marrakech on December 2.
Actor Sridevi will be at the fest for the screening of her hit comeback film English Vinglish, on December 4. Before that, on December 3, a ‘Hrithik Roshan Evening’ will be held in Roshan’s presence, with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Agneepath being shown. Jodhaa Akbar will be shown on December 5. Two days later, on the 7th, it will be time to catch Ranbir Kapoor’s Barfi!.
And it will be back to SRK on the closing day with a ‘DON Evening’, as Don and Don 2 will be spooled in the presence of director Farhan Akhtar.
