These Bollywood biggies have time and again reported late on the sets of their respective films
Early this month we had reported that CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association) and IFTPC (Indian Film and TV Producers Council) had jointly signed an MOU stating the television actors who turn up late will be fined for their lack of regulation. While we told you about the TV stars, we thought if the same MOU was applicable for our filmi stars, which actors would come under the purview of late comers? It’s not a lesser known fact that film actors from decades have incurred this habit of reaching late on the sets or worst not turning up at all. We bring to you seven such actors from the Hindi cinema who often report late on the sets.
Shahrukh Khan: King Khan often takes his Baadshah tag rather seriously. The Kal Ho Naa Ho actor has this strange practice to reach the sets two hours late. In fact, during one of the promotional events for My Name Is Khan, Shahrukh’s close friend Karan Johar did admit that the Dil Se actor is punctually late by two hours.
Salman Khan: If Shahrukh is in this list, how can his friend turned foe Salman Khan be left out? Salman is known to report late on sets, always. In an interview with Karan Johar, Salman’s contemporary and good friend Aamir said, “There were problems between us while doing Andaz Apna Apna. He was very unprofessional and used to reach late on the sets.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan : When Akshay Kumar was on Koffee with Karan, Bebo while praising Akki said that the Khiladi Kumar prefers early morning shoots while the Chameli actor prefers the afternoon shift as the actor can’t get up early in the morning. A little birdie tells us that the Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actor firstly never reaches the sets on time and even when she arrives she takes hours to get ready. Now that’s some starry behavior, hai na?
Ranbir Kapoor: Late in 2012, there were reports of Ranbir Kapoor reaching late on a Christmas day event, where the Barfi! actor had to spend some time with cancer patients. However, apparently Ranbir reached two hours late for the event. This is not all; this Kapoor lad also grabbed headlines in news for reaching late on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno. An insider confirms that the actor still hasn’t lost his habit of reaching late.
Ranveer Singh: Remember the episode on Koffee with Karan where Arjun Kapoor said that his Gunday co-star always reached the sets fifteen minutes late. Reasons can vary from his hair styling, to his cardio sessions or just being a narcissist by staring himself in the mirror for long. Too much love for yourself Ranveer, hope this doesn’t work against you.
Govinda: The Hero No 1 actor had a reputation of coming late on the sets. Even more that his leading ladies used to get ready and report to shoot much before this late comer star.
