Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don 2′ breaks overseas record of Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’

The actor’s Don 2 grossed Rs 15.3 crore on opening in India, and Rs 45 crore over the weekend

Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2 – The King is Back earned Rs 15.3 crore on the opening day, which is the highest first day collection on a non-holiday Friday. It earned Rs 45 crore over the weekend. The film is a sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s 2006 Don, which was a remake of the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer of the same name. In overseas markets, Don 2 broke the record for the highest single day gross for a Hindi film in Australia with estimated earnings of US$82,000 Friday. The earlier record was held by Reliance Entertainment’s Salman Khan-starrer, Bodyguard at US$74,000. Don 2, also starring Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor and Lara Dutta earned $550,000 in North America, beating My Name is Khan opening day gross of $445,000 – also beating the collections of RA.One on the first three days. Don 2 released with 3,000 movie prints in the domestic market and a 3D release on another 550 screens.

srk is tera baap and way better than old taklu bechlor salman
chhakka.. lallu lacks his sex organ, so not getting married..
FOR ur info… raone holds the highest single day collection,3 days coll, 5 days, coll, and highest 1 week coll. which shows that srk is king and stiil salman is in foots of srk….

ya i agree wit u guys,i know u r the fans of shahrukh,that salman has those many flops in the row, and not a single awrd in his bag, but shahruk will be in gossip only when is films are going to release other times no one cares him, not even media, he(shahruk)will take media’s full support to promote is film,before any of s film release,even though salman has given lots of flops but shahruk fails to top frompast two years, it clearly states that films are not the main factor, to b top, popularity n craze is important which shahruk is lacking behind very far far far away from salman,in single line shahruk is recognized only by his film,

an actor should only be recognised by his acting not by killing innocent animals and running his car over poor people…..or thrashing his girlfriend in public….still to count more…..srk is a good actor with no. of filmfare and national award(swadesh)….

salman kya cartoon banayega wo to khud hi ek cartoon hai. ha ha ha. and 150cr ki ek movie raja(KING) k siva kaun bana sakta hai. jitna rupya ek movie se salman kama k khush hai utne to apni ek movie banane me SRK laga deta hai.

Bodaygaurd’s single day highest of 21 cr ( it already broken record )..if you are considering 1 day …why not 2 day ..why not pre release sucess ..
see the sucess rate of 3grade actor like sullu …

Sallu is a actor of rickshaw wala people but SRK considered to be a intellactul star for intellactul people,…SRK rocking….however salman is not bad as people think but somehow somewhere u can’t compare between sallu and SRK…..:-)

Their is no comparison between salman and srk, Salman career started with dabbang. Srk is ruling for 20 years. Srk is a world-wide global actor. Salman so called kingdom does not spread further than india. Try and be oscar and bafta nominated and rule for 20 years. Salman needs hit songs to produce hits, India is trying to hype him when he is really a nobody compared to srk, who has been making memorable movies. I am not indian, SRK introduced me to bollywood.
