Shahrukh sues jewellery brand for illegal use of ‘RA.One’ song

Shahrukh Khan has taken legal action against the brand for using the unreleased Chammak chhalo by Akon at the recently held the India International Jewellery Week

The Akon song Chammak challo from the Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming production RA.One is in trouble again. First the scratch version of the song was leaked online a while ago, and now jewellery brand Agni has picked up that one and used it on the fourth day of the India International Jewellery Week, when Amrita Rao walked the ramp decked in diamonds. When SRK found out about this breach, he was furious at the brand for its unprofessional behaviour and decided to sue Agni for illegal and untimely use of the song. T-Series, which has the rights of the song, sent a legal notice to the brand asking for a compensation of Rs 2 crore. T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar has argued that the song was used without prior permission – no license can be obtained for the use of an unreleased song. Whether intended or not, this is certainly adding up to publicity for the film, the biggest of SRK’s career!Subscribe to me on YouTube
