Sharman Joshi finally signs more films!

If rumours are to be believed, choosy actor Sharman Joshi has signed two big films – the Rock On!! sequel and Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next with Ranbir Kapoor. We hope the rumours are true, ‘coz we wanna see more of the talented actor

Ever since his first film, the hard-hitting Godmother, and the far less serious college caper Style, Sharman Joshi has come across as an actor with immense talent. But we always wondered why the unconventional-looking lad did very few and very carefully selected films. In the recent past he also proved that he can be noticed even in multi-starrers – Rang De Basanti and 3 Idiots. Despite a small part in those movies, he managed to stand out in the rather large crowd. So here is one actor with talent; why is the industry ignoring him? We really wanna know. Insiders insist that it is actually to the contrary – apparently Sharman is very choosy about the work he does. And we have to agree with that one. Remember that Rohit Shetty’s first Golmaal which starred Sharman became a big hit, but the actor refused to be part of the sequel. Instead of cashing on the box-office success of that comic caper, he did films like Life in a Metro, Raqeeb, Dhol and others. Some got appreciated and some did not, but we are sure the theatre-trained actor has no regrets. So if rumours are to be believed, at last the actor seems to be coming out of his shell and doing more films. First, we read a report claiming that the Rock On!! team has approached him for the sequel of the hit movie. Second, he is also in talks with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for Chitthiyaan that stars Ranbir Kapoor. Apparently both films were offered to him after the people involved with them saw the first rushes of Ferrari Ki Sawaari. Those who have watched clips of it are overwhelmed by Sharman’s acting ability. We are not surprised. Now we can’t wait to catch a glimpse of the film and hope you feel that way too! But we hope these rumours are indeed true and we get to watch more of the talented actor on screen.
