Actor-anchor Shekhar Suman, who has turned director with Heartless, has completed the filming of his maiden project

“The shooting is over and the post-production has started in full swing,” said a source. Heartless is a medical thriller about a mother and son, where the son needs a heart transplant, and the bond the two share.

The film stars Shekhar Suman’s actor son Adhyayan Suman, Deepti Naval and Om Puri. Shot in Dubai and Mumbai, the film will release this year.

Heartless is Shekhar’s tribute to his late son Aayush, who succumbed to a congenital heart disease. Shekhar was a popular face on television having worked on shows like Dekh Bhai Dekh and Wah Janab, apart from hosting the chat show Movers & Shakers.  On the big screen, he was seen in films like Utsav and Sansar.
