The Desire – A Journey of a Woman is Shilpa Shetty’s production that had also won at Geneva

Shilpa Shetty‘s production The Desire – A Journey of a Woman has helped her win a best actor award at the Jaipur Film Festival. Shilpa played the role of protagonist Goutami in the film. The Desire... – a woman-centric love story that revolves around the relationship between an accomplished Indian Odissi dancer (Shilpa) and an artist (Xia Yu) who has mixed parentage (Chinese father and Malay-Indian mother) – released on December 12, 2011.

While the film wasn’t in the league of ‘popular’ movies of B-town, it still got Shilpa noticed. And that’s what counts, doesn’t it? The movie was helmed by National Award-winning director R Sarath. The music was scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Actors Jaya Prada, Anupam Kher, Sheetal Menon, Nakul Vaid and Vikram Gokhale starred in prominent roles in the film that had also won the Best Narrative Feature Film at the 2011 Geneva International Film Festival.
