Punit Malhotra’s second untitled film, being produced under the Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner, stars his favourites – Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Malhotra offered Shraddha Kapoor a pivotal role recently. Will Shraddha say yes?
Post her debut film Teen Patti, which failed to deal her winning cards in the Bollywood big game, Shraddha Kapoor expected a lot from her second big film, Luv Ka The End, a Yash Raj Films production. Though the film didn’t impress either the critics or the audience much, Shraddha certainly did…and how!
If some industry experts are to be believed, Shakti Kapoor’s daughter, who has been lying low for sometime is now ready to swing back into action and the kind of films she is already working on and will sign soon would certainly work wonders for her.
The young actor’s terrific on-screen persona and infectious smile landed her a plum role in Aashiqui 2 (title sounds weird, no?), Mahesh Bhatt’s sequel to his musical blockbuster of the 90s. The young actor, who finished the first long shooting schedule of the film last month, has already begun work on the second.
And things seem to be looking up for her. Shraddha is in talks with young filmmaker Punit Malhotra who reportedly met her last week and offered her an exciting role in his next untitled Dharma Productions project starring Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan. We hear that she’s very impressed with Punit’s narration (we hope she remembers the fate of his debut film I Hate Luv Storys), which means she’s likely to say yes to this one.
