Considered one of the most melodious singers of this generation, the beautiful Bong babe turns 30 today
Born on March 12, 1984 Shreya Ghoshal made her mark in the Bollywood music scenario very early in her life. She started her singing career at the age of 16. She won the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma, hosted then by Sonu Nigam, and got a quick break in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas. She catapulted to fame by being the voice of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene in the film.
Shreya made her mark with her silky voice and created a space for herself by singing romantic, sensual and soulful numbers. Over the last couple of years, Shreya has ventured out of her comfort zone and sung some peppy fast-paced numbers too. The singer already has an enviable list of brilliant numbers to her credit. Some of her beautiful work includes songs like Noor-E-Khuda (My Name Is Khan), Chikni Chameli (Agneepath), Ooh la la (The Dirty Picture), Dola re (Devdas), Jaadu hai nasha hai (Jism), Piyu bole (Parineeta), O saathi re (Omkara), Zoobi doobi (3 Idiots), Rabta (Agent Vinod), Silsila ye chahat ka (Devdas), Yeh ishq haye (Jab We Met), Pal pal (Lage Raho Munnabhai), Teri ore (Singh Is Kinng), Aashiyan (Barfi!), Chori kiya re jiya (Dabangg) and many more.
On her birthday we wish the talented singer many more years of fame and success. We also hope that she continues to give us many more melodious songs to hum in the years to come. Her soulful voice will always bring life to every song.
